“I came from Warsaw, Poland where I worked in a children’s hospital as a dietician, and I always wanted to continue working within the hospital environment here in Canada. After graduating from Food and Nutrition Management here in Toronto, I was hired by NYGH as a graduate student and fell in love the job – I’ve been here for 25 years now. It feels like family at NYGH. My son was born here at NYGH and I felt that the staff lottery would be a great way for me to show my appreciation to NYGH for taking such exceptional care of us.”

“I got my job here in the middle of pandemic in 2020. It was my first professional job as an international graduate in laboratory science, which was so challenging at the time. Working at NYGH gave me the motivation to peruse my career to become a technologist. And I always appreciate my supportive managers and coworkers and nice environment at North York General that helped me to overcome my fear and start over in a new country as a healthcare worker. My plan is to save the money as I am working on a big goal buying a condo for myself.”
